Stress and acupuncture

Stress is unavoidable, it is part of the world we live in today. There is good stress which gives us energy, motivation, enthusiasm and excitement. And there is bad stress which is the way we respond to certain situations, no two people are the same and we have all learned over our lifetimes to respond to situations in certain ways, if we respond to too many situations in a negative way we become stressed unable to deal with what life throws at us becoming angry, sad, irritable, overwhelmed and unhappy.

Over 80% of physical illnesses are said to psychological in nature, so the less stressed we are the healthier we are.
The good news is that no one is born stressed, have you ever seen a stressed out baby? So with the help of acupuncture you can start to unlearn those negative responses to situations and learn to respond to them more positively. Acupuncture can help to bring the body back into balance, clearing the "fog" so that you can then start to change habits, manage your time better, see things more positively, change your eating habits, your lifestyle, so that you can live a happier healthier good stress life!

From a Western viewpoint, acupuncture works to relieve stress by releasing natural feel good chemicals in the brain, called endorphins. Acupuncture also improves circulation of blood throughout the body, which oxygenates the tissues and eliminates waste chemicals. The calming nature of acupuncture also decreases heart rate, lowers blood pressure and relaxes the muscles.
